DNA Red Safe Stain, 10,000X

 

    DNA Red Safe Stain is a safe, highly sensitive, and highly stable fluorescent nucleic acid dye supplied at a concentration of 10,000x. It is compatible with common electrophoresis buffers such as TAE and TBE. DNA Red has a relatively high molecular weight (approximately 1240 g/mol) and cannot penetrate cell membranes, offering the advantage of being safe and non-toxic. Its sensitivity is higher than the tradional dye EtBr, and it has the same spectral characteristic as EtBr, excitation in the 250-300 nm wavelength. Therefore, it is recommended to use a gel imaging system with a UV light source.
