6×DNA Loading Buffer with SDS

 

6×DNA Loading Buffer with SDS is formulated with glycerol, EDTA, SDS, Orange G, and Xylene Cyanol FF. Glycerol raises the density of the sample above that of TAE buffer, ensuring it sinks cleanly into the loading well rather than diffusing out. SDS denatures any residual polymerase that may remain bound to the DNA, which would otherwise alter its mobility during electrophoresis. Orange G and Xylene Cyanol FF act as tracking dyes, providing a visible reference for migration progress so the run can be stopped at the right time.
